Casey was born and raised in Marshall, Texas. He attended Baylor University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance, with a minor in environmental studies. As an undergraduate, Casey was inducted into the Financial Management Association National Honor Society. He was also elected to membership in New Guard, an organization that serves the president of the university and its board of regents.
Casey received his Juris Doctorate from Baylor Law School, where he distinguished himself as a member of the Order of the Barristers, and the Harvey M. Richey Moot Court Society. He was also a recipient of the Hope Pierce Tartt Scholarship.
Casey is admitted to practice in Texas and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), the Northeast Texas Bar Association, the Gregg County Bar Association, the Smith County Bar Association, and the Harrison County Bar Association.
Casey is a versatile trial attorney who has been successful in both trial courts and appellate courts throughout Texas. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, in addition to hunting and playing golf. Casey is also active in his community, including in the United Way and Junior Achievement, and serves on the boards of local foundations, schools, and his church. He routinely provides pro bono legal services to those who cannot afford it.
